archived messages

Where does Outlook store archived messages on the computer? I am looking for
an old message and can't find it and the archive function ran last week.

Usually the file is called archive.pst, but you'll need to check your global
and folder-specific AutoArchive settings to make sure that's the file that's
actually being used in your case. Once you figure out which file it is and
where it is, see http://www.slipstick.com/outlook/readarchive.htm for
further instructions. Note -- if you're using Windows 2000 or XP, .PST
files are typically found in hidden folders, so include those in your
search.
