archive search

Is there a utility (freeware preferably, or otherwise) which can
search the files, by contents, inside a zipped archive? I have used
Zipscan, but I could use it to search only by filenames inside the
archive.

Total Commander www.ghisler.com, nagware shareware, does this and a
thousand other wonderful things for you.

There are also a zillion freeware addons to this program which makes it
even more useful. http://clubtotal.free.fr/

I downloaded Total Commander, and it is excellent. However, it is
free for only a month! Any other which is free?

Free Commander does it! (for ZIP CAB and RAR)

open free commander
select the directory where files are located (zipped or not, doesn't
matter!)
press ALT+F7 and then check the options You want.

I found this piece of SW trying to have a free substitute for Total
commander!
