can anyone tell me if it is possible to use the
autoarchive facility in outlook 2000 to archive to an ftp
location. We have our own linux server which i have setup
as an ftp server and i have read and write access to the
directory that i want to archive to. I have it set in
win2k as a ftp location and can view it fine.

I want to be able to use the auto archive facility to
backup to this server but it does not appear to want me to
do this, just says you must select a local or network
drive and that internet address are not permitted (i tried
using ftp://me.myserver.co.uk/folderiwanttobackupto with
no luck)

Does anyone know if what i want to do is possible, and if
not could you suggest an alternative soltion that will run
in the background without the users knowing what is going
on (coz they will stop it probably!)

thanks

Rick

Tips of the month:
-Backup and Restore
-Create an Office XP CD slipstreamed with Service Pack 3

Are you using PST files?

If so I can knock something up in VB which can
periodically do this for you..

Let me know by e-mail if you want more info..
