Archive Log Maximum Size

I received the following error message while archiving:

Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook\archive.pst has reached its maximum size.
To reduce the amount of data in this file, select some items that you no
longer need, and then permanently delete them by pressing SHIFT+DELETE. You
could also consider using the new Outlook Personal Folders file (.pst)
introduced with Outlook 2003 that provides greater capacity for storing
items and folders.

I am currently using the lastest and greatest Outlook 2003.

Can I just rename the old archive.pst to archive_old.pst? Will a new
archive.pst be created?

Thanks in advance,

Christopher

If it is currently attached to Outlook detach it through File-> Data File
Management. After this close Outlook and rename the file. At next archive a
new one will indeed be created.
