Archive Files in Outlook 2002

I started archiving files today and have a couple of questions that I could
not find answers to in the FAQs.

1. Is there a 2GB limit to Archived files or just to PST files in Outlook
2002?

2. I have created several archive files and named them accordingly, but when
I open them in Outlook all of them have the same name - Archive Folders. In
properties, it appears I can rename the folder but it does not allow this.
This is very confusing.
I am at the 2 GB limit in PST and want to have ready access to my open
Archive Folders, but having several with the same name is confusing.

3. For one of the first archives that I did last week, I created an archives
folder, and archived files from one folder in a Personal Folder sub
directory, but when I open the folder there is nothing in it to see, but I
see the file in my C drive and it is 112KB. What's going on here?

Thanks,

Avery

1) yes, it will have the 2 gb limit.
2) from the folder list, rightr click on the top level of the archive (where
it says archive folders) and choose properties. click Advanced and change the
name. It should take affect immediately for personal folders.
3) are you sure it's the right folder? Search for *.pst and include all
hidden files and folders. Also, archive goes by the last modified date, so if
oyu imported, exported or otherwsie modified an item, it won't archive.

Thanks, Diane.

Re 2), as I was able to change the name.
Re 3), the files are all in the same folder, along with my outlook.pst file,
and when I open it there is nothing in the archive, yet the file is 112KB in
size. I must have done something wrong. Unfortunately, I did not leave the
files in my Personal Folders, so I guess they are lost.
