Arbitrary change of spell check language

K

Kathy

When spell checkig a document spell check suddenly switches from English to
French, or occassionally Norweigian.

I have verified my language setings are for English, United States.

I emailed the exact document to a colleague anf they were able to complete
the spell check in English without a problem.

This has now occurred with two documents in a row.

Did you maybe insert a passage -- or a single character -- from some
other file? They bring their Set Language with them.

And be sure "Detect language automatically" is turned off. We don't
know what it's detecting, but it usually isn't the language you're
actually using.

In the language dialog, make sure you have "Detect language automatically"
disabled, as it tends not to work very well.
