Word spell checking in different language

For no reason that I can determine Word started spell checking in another
language (Spanish). Proofing language is set to English (US). Enabled and
Primary language is set to English (US).
This only occurs to documents that I create. Doecuemts that I recieve from
others spell check in English, even if I add to that document.
Any suggestions?

Make sure that the document it happened on is set to English
throughout (differently in different versions of Word) -- after you
find the command for US English, select the entire document (Ctrl-A)
and click "US English." (Maybe you copied something from a website
that had a word marked as Spanish.)
