Bit of a terminology difficulty here.
I'm guessing that you want to set up a show that has links on slide 1 to
take you to many other slides, and have each of these slides revert back to
slide 1. This is an Index Slide rather than a Master Slide. The Master
Slide is a framework used to build individual slides, but I think you are
using the term to mean an index slide.
On slide 2
Topic A
On slide 3 & 4
Topic B
On slide 5
Topic C
Select slides 2 thru 5 (all the topic slides), right click and select Hide
Slide.
Click on SlideShow (or SlideShoe an Ed Sullivan fan) => Custom Shows => New.
Change the Custom Show Name to "Topic A" . Add the slides that are
appropriate for Topic A in the order you want them shown. Repeat for Topic
B,C and whatever.
Now, let's build you Index slide.
On slide 1
Place a rectangle (circle, star, image, whatever).
Right click and select Action Settings.
Select the Mouse Click tab if it is not already selected.
Click on Hyperlink to:
Select Custom Show...
Select Topic A
Check the Show and return box at the bottom of the dialog box
Click OK for the Custom Show
Click OK for the Action Setting
Repeat for the other Topics
The looping option:
If you do not want the user to advance out of the presentation, you will
need to check the 'Loop until Esc' option under the slideshow setup. This
will keep the user on the Index slide, however; it will also keep the use on
the custom show. So, if you want to use this option, you will need to
include a link to end the show on either all of the slides, or on the Master
Slide.
On the Master Slide
Place a rectangle (circle, star, image, whatever).
Right click and select Action Settings.
Select the Mouse Click tab if it is not already selected.
Click on Hyperlink to:
Select End Show
Click OK for the Custom Show
Click OK for the Action Setting
