Applying formatting to higlighted area reformats entire WORD docu.

When I highlight a apragraph to apply formatting e.g. change to bold or add
bullet points, the formatting is added to entire document. Using the undo
button usually then reverts to only the selected section having the new
formatting. Problem is that each time this happens it increases size of
document enormously e.g. from 2000kb to 36,000kb. I am using WORd 2002 with
track changes visable. HOw to I stop this problem arising???

Thanks millions - this seems to fix it for the particular document, but can't
get it to stay as default for WORD.

Did you check the "Add to template" box as instructed?

using bold - all text is undelined, bold and inserted with page breaks!
I have come accross a similar problem when using Bold- When attempting to
make selected text bold - the entire contents of the document is underlined
and bold AND a page break is inserted underneath the title! HELP!

How are you applying bold? If using Ctrl+B, have you checked to see whether
this shortcut is assigned to a macro?
