Apply Handout Template Only?

Hello All,

I have 27 separate PPT files that were created by 27 different people. I
would like to print them out to put them into a conference binder. Is it
possible for me to apply a handout master only without applying a slide
master?

The reason I ask is because I'd like all the handout pages to have the same
layout, headers, fonts, and footers. To do this, I created a presentation
with my desired handout master and saved it as a template (.POT) file.
However, when I apply this to a PPT file, it applies the entire template
which messes up the slides since it's applying my new slide master.

Any thoughts on what I should do here?

Thanks,
Brian

Well, I figured out a workaround that I'll post here for the sake of future
searchers and Google Groups.

A simpler way to do this is just to cut and paste the handout master objects
from the template PPT to the PPT that I want to update. That way I can get
the same look and feel on the handouts only without messing up the slides
themselves.
