Applications freezing up or Comcast arcade

I have an application that was installed on a previous computer and ran fine,
but now after a minute or so, freezes up and stays that way. Ran windows ME
before but no have Windows XP Pro. The program is 3D Home Architect Home
Design. I know I'm doing something wrong, because another computer with
Windows XP Pro is running the same program with no problems at all. Real
Arcade won't come up anymore on this computer, but does fine on the other one
that also uses Windows XP Pro. Have 1 gigabyte of memory and 3.06 gigahertz
Dual CPU. Any ideas?
