Application unexpectedly suspends to desktop

The problem is most prevalent in games. Sometimes it seems to be related to
mouse movement. Other times there is no apparent cause. The application
minimizes to the system tray. I'm running Windows Media Center Edition on an
Intel Xeon Dual Core system. Windows updates are current.

Do you have the recommended video card for such games?

One game is Flight Simulator 2004. The card that I have installed is a new
ATI Radeon 9250 with 512mb. I do not think the card was being manufactured
then.
