Application shut down abruptly

My system is WinXp with SP2 3.0Ghz CPU 512MB Ram.
Hope to find out why The application (any) shutdown abruptly and cause some
of the items in taskbar disappear even I reinstalled WinXP and all
applications in fresh.
 
Hi,

Usually happens because the explorer shell is stopped and restarted. Do all
applications shut down abruptly? Or only certain ones? Are you initiating
this behavior? Or is it just happening? Randomly?
