Application quits each time I use the spreadsheet in Excel

Everytime I try to use my spreadsheet, the application quits.
Sometimes I get it to open for about 30 seconds, othertimes it quits
upon opening. HELP!
 
If you try opening it on another pc, does it close there?

Does this happen for all workbooks or just a single workbook?

Can you try it on a pc with a different version of excel?

If you open excel in safe mode:

close excel
windows start button|run
excel /safe
then file|open your workbook

does it still close after 30 seconds?

What version of excel are you using?
What version of windows are you using?

(It may help someone guess the correct answer.)
