nWhenever I receive an email with a web address in it or or an email and it
tells me to click here to go that web page, I get an error. A box will pop
up and the error will have the web address I am trying to click on and also
say at the bottom "Application not found".

Solution?

Control Panel, Internet Options, Programs. Make sure Internet Explorer
is the default web browser.

That is not the problem. I have it set as my default browser as it is the
only browser on my computer!

If you will notice, my response was directed to "smigkendra", not
to you.

I tried it and it worked. Though in my version of Vista you can get to
default programs right off the start button. My problems started after I
downloaded Google Firefox search engine. I think it was in competion somehow
with Internet Explorer and even after I uninstalled it it was looking for
Firefox to open the URL. I actually had to set Internet Explorer as the
default engine twice first under "Set your default programs" and then under
"Set program access and computer defaults". After that it worked.

For some strange reason, stuff starts misbehaving when
IE is no longer your default browser. ;-)
