Application mode and Remote Administration

This seems like a dumb question but after I move to application mode and set
up the licensing server will I be able to still administer the server
remotely. I figure it is just a matter of setting permissions on the account
I want to use?

Yes, you can.
If the Terminal Server runs W2K, you will use a TS CAL, also when you
connect as Administrator. Might be good to know, in case you connect
from a lot of different clients.

If the TS runs 2003, you can connect directly to the console session
(only as Administrator), which will not take up a TS CAL.
Use "mstsc /console" (without the quotes) to start a console session.

Hi Vera,
Does that mean that if I run Server 2003 in Application Server mode and I
log in from 5 pc's as Administrator, I will be using 4 call's (Instead of 5).
Say that 5 administrators want to administer the server remotely. Is that
possible by logging in with administrator 5 times from different pc's.
Important - The server is running in Application Server mode.

I hope to hear from you ASAP.
Many Thanks.

If you connect to the console (with mstsc /console), then you will
not use a TS CAL. You can do this from an unlimited amount of
devices, but only one at a time. And only as Administrator.

Every normal connection (without the /console switch) takes up a
license.
