application Hangs when browsing

Anytime I attempt to insert a file and I attempt to browse to the file
Outlook 2003 hangs. It also happens when I browse in word, excel and
powerpoint but no other application (ex. wordpad). I tried to repair office,
uninstall and reinstall office and nothing seems to work.

Any help would be apprecieated.
