Application failed to initialize

Have a customer with Dell computer with XP Media Center, all updates done,
Norton anti-virus 2005. Installed Windows Defender and it works in all but
one user account, when switching to this user, limited account, a message
appears from Windows Defender: Application failed to initialize 0X800 70057
Any ideas would be appreciated, did a system restore back 2 weeks, no change.

Hi Edward,

Verify that the "Allow user that do not have administrative rights..." is
checked. This feature can be found by navigating to the Tools->General
section on Windows Defender B2. You'll see a checkbox at the bottom of the
screen. Make sure you're logged in with Admin priviledges before hand.

Place a check and click save. There could be a problem with Windows Defender
B2 not being able to autorun when logging in as a non admin user.

I checked loged as a user with administrator rights, from where I had
installed Defender, and the "Allow user that do not have administrator
rights" is checked. All other users seem to run Defender OK except one user
with limited rights. Should I change their ritghts to administator and
reinstall under this user?
