application failed to initialize properly c0000142

hi,

All media related applications like Divx,Picasso and Sonic MyDvD
doesn't start. They all fail with the following error message

application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000142).Click on
ok to terminate the application

All these applications used to work.I am not sure what happened,they
all stopped working.I tried reinstalling them and cleaned the registry
using EasyClean but I get the same error.

I tried searching google and the general idea I got is there is some
kind of registry problem but I am not sure about the specific problem
related to the above application.

I am using windows2000 SP4.

Please help me fix the problem

Hello,

the message text according to your number is

"Initialization of the dynamic link library %hs failed. The process is
terminating abnormally."

Maybe you can find more information in the eventlog...
