Application Data Files-Why So many Copies?

B

Under my user name there is a folder called "Local Settings" Inside this
folder is a folder called "Application Data". and inside that is another
folder called "Application Data" and there are about 20 or more of these
each nested within the previous one. They all seem to be the same. What are
they? Can I delete them? I though they might be the restore points but I
cleaned those up using disk cleanup and these files are still there.

Read up about the Previous Versions feature of Vista. It allows you to
restore several previous revisions of a file. Dead handy for documents
you've edited and made errors on.
