Applicaation wont open

All my exe files wont open. It gives me an error that there is no file
associated with it. When I go to office folder and all the files are there.
I then click on word, excel or adobe and get the same error. Something about
cant find (.lnk). I cant even open the calculator. All the icons have
changes to look like there is no file associated with them. Not sure what
has happend or how to fix it. To me it looks like something has changed the
register, maybe.

Went to both of these sites and followed their directions. Problem, is there
is no file associated to run these programs. Back to square 1. Cant open
regedit.exe.
