Appearance mysticism

Hi!

I have IBM Thinkpad T42 with fingerprint reader and security chip. If user
can boot to windows with single fingerprint authentication but he is in User
rights, strange things will start to happen to Windows Appearance in Display
Properties. Windows and Buttons choice will turn automatically to Windows XP
Style and nothing else can be chosen. If I give user Administrator rights and
log in from shutdown then everything is okay - Windows and Buttons choice is
Windows XP style and other options are available too. I have no idea if it's
caused by using UMV technology or other future-designs included with T42.
Had anyone have a similar experience?

I troubleshooted the case and now it seems it has nothing to do with T42
security elements. When user with user rights first login, it's the same
Windows Classic Theme and nothing else can be choosed. But after the user
logs off and then back in, everything's is ok - normal XP theme is the
Appearance. I don't get it, does anyone?
