APM checked causing computer to reboot

I've done a clean install of W2kPro on a PII/350. When I check APM under the Power Control Panel, the computer reboots rather than shuting down and turning off the power. Yes, indeed, the logging off screen has SHUTDOWN selected.

Power off on this computer worked fine under Win98.

Any Suggestions?

Check in BIOS for power management settings. On some MBs they seem to
work opposite of what you want.
