AOL provides its own free virus protection and firewall. Does this protect
any program I run on the computer even when I use Internet Explorer. If so
shuold I delete the windows firewall and How does one delete the windows
firewall.

I don't know into which discussion group you posted but you have come up in
the wrong one in newsgroups.
As you are using that rather archaic form of web interface, I would suggest
that the below would suit your question.
Good luck

Virus protection protects from viruses. It does not protect your computer
from incoming probes - that's what a firewall is for. AOL does offer
additional tools for this - but until you get it, leave your Windows Firewall
on.

Yes AOL Virus and Firewall should protect other programs you run.

No you do not want to delete Windows firewall. The Windows firewall and AOL
firewall should work together no problem.

You may also want to download a program like Spybot to go with it.
