AOL Reconfiguration of Windows

When I signed out of AOL, it sent automatic updates to my computer. I lost
my Windows search feature and a couple of other things. How can I get my
hard drive file search back? AOL wants me to use their search feature but I
want to use Windows. Anyway except uninstalling AOL to stop this?

Sorry but I would REALLY REALLY bin AOL.......it's a PITA....

There are a few repairs for the Search utility listed at Kelly's site.
One of the following might help:

Line 148. Set All Search Options to Active

or

Line 229. Set IE Search to Default
