I just installed aol 9.0 security edition and a bluescreen came and said

Not with the current versions of AOL. It is possible but since I am not an
AOL member I can not confirm, there maybe a version in beta testing. My
best recommendation, try logging on via a windows XP system and goto keyword
BETA. It maybe possible you may find a version that is there.

No, AOL 9.0 is NOT compatible with Vista.
And there are no Vista-compatible beta builds yet either.

Thats because AOL has not figured out yet how to totally tie itself
into every part of the OS. AOL is more insidious than a virus when it
comes to entangling itself into every part of the OS.
