AOL not working???

Can anyone help me please? I'm getting a recurring problem getting connected
to the internet (with AOL) I get the error message 'the attempt to connect to
the AOL service has timed out (24-04-08-020) - the attempt to establish a
TCP/IP connection to the AOL service has timed out. I have spent many hours
on the phone to AOL but to no avail! I have restored back a few days and this
seems to fix the problem for a day or two, but then it seems to go wrong
again. I have tried running without firewall, reloading the AOL software,
have run virus scans and spyware. AOL have said that there may be a problem
with RAS files? I am using XP home edition (sp2).... Please help!!!!

Before signing on to AOL, click the "Settings" tab on the AOL Welcome
screen. You'll find various options for finding and reestablishing your
connection. Depending on whether your using dial-up or broadband there are
options to automatically reset your connection. Try the appropriate one.
