I transfered my AOL mail to the Windows Mail, but didn't realize it was going
to take it all awy from AOL when I did so. Can it be exported back to my AOL
page? Also, it said it was transfering 527 emails, but I don't see them all.
It didn't bring any of my "sent" emails from AOL. What have I done?????
When I launch AOL, my "In" box and "Old" box are empty, but my "Sent" box has
mail. I would like to get everything on one account.

Did you set up your aol account in Windows Mail using POP or IMAP?
If you use the IMAP it should duplicate everything.
If you use POP it would download everything into Windows Mail and be gone
from your other mail app.

Incoming Mail Server is a POPS
Incoming Mail (POP3) imap.aol.com
Outgoing Mail (STMP) stmp.aol.com

I'm not sure where to change that. I went to the screen where I gave you the
info below...but it won't let me change POP3. Looks like I "stole" all my
email huh? Do you know how to import it back?

I'm not sure if or how you could import the mail back to the server once POP
downloads it. You might want to try contacting aol support.
If it won't let you switch your POP setup to IMAP, you probably have to
delete the account setup from Windows Mail and add it back in.
The link below (email.about.com) is the first result from Google for "setup
aol windows mail". Did you find instructions somewhere telling you to use
POP?

You need to set up another AOL account in Windows Mail. This time
choose IMAP protocol. Follow these instructions:
http://postmaster.aol.com/imap/express.html

Once you have that set up and working, move or copy the messages within
Windows Mail from your AOL POP folder to your AOL IMAP folder.
The IMAP account will then start syncing with the AOL server, and will put
all the messages back on the server. It may take some time.

You can't. You can forward it to yourself, but it will all appear as to
you, from you, and at more or less the same time.

Set up your account again, this time as an IMAP account, as the AOL
directions specify. Delete the incorrect POP settings.

THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!! After several hours, I have restored my
old AOL and transfered all but the "Saved on my PC" files. I will work on
that next!
