AOL Active Virus Shield Update Problem

I have recently experienced a problem with getting updates to my already
installed and registered version of AOL Active Virus Shield. The
downloads from download.newaol.com were failing signature validation.

I found a newsgroup suggestion to add the following line to the HOSTS file:
127.0.0.1 download.newaol.com

This solved my problem. By redirecting the AOL download site, it causes
Active Virus Shield to obtain its updates from an alternative
Kaspersky server, which then proceeds successfully.

Just wanted to let others know if they experience the same problem.
