AOL 8.0 and DSL

I have client who uses DSL access in their office via a
network. When on the road, they use AOL 8.0 in dial-up
mode. After their last road trip and using AOL 8.0, IE
6.0 won't detect settings on the office network to allow
internet access in the office, however if AOL 8.0 is
running, IE 6.0 will work. Any suggestions on correcting
the IE 6.0 "hijack" by AOL 8.0?

The only things I can think of are to make sure that AOL
is not set as the default connection in the connection
tab on IE options. Maybe uninstall the AOL adapters
(they'll reinstall when needed). Other than that maybe
backup the Oragnize file (to save mail, address book and
favorites) in the AOL directory and reinstall it.
