AOC in Vista problem

dear sir/madom,

when I'm play the game "Age of Empires II - The Conquerors Expansion" with
1.0e patch, I can work fine with the game starting untill to setting page,
but after game real starting, the main screen is damage, but the others
control area is work fine, I've tryied different resolution, but it still
the same, please let me know what should I do

ps. but arround 1/20 times to play this game, one time is work fine, I have
really no idea for it @@

It works pretty well here. There are some stutters sometimes, but is
definatley playable...
