anyway to reset motherboards

hey, i know this is about windows, but to be honest, i'm not sure where else
to post this.

i've made some stupid changes in my BIOS settings and now the computer will
not start up. Does anyone know how to reset the mother board? I know there
is a way, but unaware of it. It's a VIA motherboard, that's all i know. be
very grateful of any support.

Jamie, hopefully you have the Manual. Look for a jumper near the Round
CMOS Battery with 3 pins. Move the jumper
to the vacant pin for about 20 seconds and then back again. Meaning the
jumper is on pin 1 & 2 originally. Move it to
2 & 3 for 20 seconds and then back to 1 & 2. That resets the Bios. You
will then have to reset Time Date and other
Settings.

Most (if not all) BIOS's have an option to use default settings or
"failsafe" settings or something like that, which you can choose and
reboot. This should give you the settings that "blanking" the BIOS by
taking out the battery or using the reset jumper would do, however it
would not change the date and time or the parameters for the disk drives.
