My problem is that I have an enormous amount of data in excel that when
I paste in notepad it isn't aligned properly. I have to upload the data
to a program that only accepts plaintext like notepad. Anyway to get
the columns lined up neatly?

in excel, "save as" a tab delimiter file (option under file types).. open
it in any text program, should be fine

You can't in Notepad. (Not easily anyhow.) But why use Notepad at all? From
Excel click on File > Save As then pick either "Text (tab delimited)" or
"CSV (Comma delimited)". Both options generate text files with either tabs
between items on one line or commas. (If you use CSV, rename the file's
".csv" extension to ".txt".)

Which option you choose (tab vs comma) will depend on the target program,
which is the one that will have to do the aligning.
