Anyone who cannot install RC1 or RC2?

N

Nero

I had loads of tries at installing and it would blue screen everytime at the
completing installation stage.
Tried all sorts of things to see why it would blue screen with no luck.
Then I disabled USB in the bios and tried installing RC2.
Worked first time..............
installed and works ok.
I don't know if it was because I turned off USB in the bios and the fact it
was RC2, OR that I disabled USB, OR that it was just the fact I installed
RC2.
Also you do NOT have to have SATA drivers for Vista RC2 onwards.
It comes with basic Sata drivers and basic Graphics card drivers.
I have not had to install any drivers other than soundcard ones.

Nero, it could have also been something even easier than that. When you
changed your Mobo USB settings, you also flashed you bios ( flashed as in
reloaded your bios settings).
On my notebook, when loading Vista RC1, originally, I was having issues like
that, but decided, rather to go into my bios, do an F9 (reset to default),
then F10 (save and Exit).
After that, Vista loaded like a charm. I don't know why it is like that,
maybe just a little freakish that way, but what ever it did, it worked.

Good piece of information though for anyone else having the same issue..
