I have 2 or 3 mp3 codecs installed, including LAME, but I still can't use Audio Converter to convert .wma files to .mp3...anyone have any ideas?

Anyone know why Plus! DME Audio Converter doesn't recognize installed mp3 codecs?

Isn't the Plus! converter used to convert MP3 2 WMA? The software is not
used to convert from WMA 2 any other formats, so LAME would not be an issue
with the software. You need to look to other software if you wish to
convert WMA 2 MP3.

according to the help files in the program.... : You can also convert existing WMA files to MP3 files or to WMA files with a smaller bit rate to save disk space.

Ok, Then in that case you would have to use FhG's encoder.

Also, LAME "could" work, but you would need to use LameACM likely. I have
had 0 success getting it to work through WMP.

Try a freeware prog from CNET.downloads called dMC-r10. It converts vice versa to any folder and also has the facility to alter the bit-rate and/or title.
