Hi...

Anyone know of any good PST free PST repair software. Ive tried microsofts
inbox repair tool but it crashes out on this particular pst file.

Are you running scanpst properly when Outlook is closed? Look it up in Help
for specific instructions.

Hi... yes am running it proply with outlook closed.

it comes up with a message saying.. "an error has occured which caused the
repair to be stopped. Some modifications may have been made to the scanned
file"

this is the last entry in the log file.

??Deleting SDO

**Updating folder hierarchy

**Attempting to fix original file

**Attempting to copy back BBT

Solved it.

The user was using outlook 2000. Using outlook 2000 version of the
scanpst.exe program the pst was cleaned and repaired ok. I assumed the
outlook 2003 version of the scanpst.exe file that i was using would work with
the older outlooks psts.
