Anyone having troble registering with Steam?

I purchased an ASUS 9600XT/TVD and used the enclosed HL2 card to register
with Steam to get HL content until HL2 is ready. Steam informs me that the
key that I used to register is invalid and terminates my access. The key
that they claim is invalid is a perfect match for what is on the card I
received with the graphics card. I can't get ATI / Steam to respond to
inquiries. Is anyone else having a similar issue and perhaps a little
insight into the issue?

I had the same problem. You have to type in the key with the dashes and
case-sensitive.
