any way to reduce icon sizes on Vista desktop

B

bob

for years, I've enjoyed using tClock2 on several XP desktops, among it's
many features it allowed to list desktop icons in 16x16 mode, making for a
nice, clean, desktop without clutter

now, Vista icons are huge, way too huge, can I reduce their size somehow.
somewhere?

please give the steps on where this is done, if doable

system is Vista Ultimate, build 6000

Click somewhere on the desktop, or any explorer window. Hold down CTRL and
move the mouse wheel backwards (or forwards).

Right-click the desktop, point to View, and then click Large Icons, Medium
Icons, or Classic Icons. (Classic icons are the smallest size.)

What if you don't have a mouse wheel?

If you don't have a mouse wheel you are using a Mac.

How else I can change the size of my desktop icons, using windows vista home
Premium.
Thank You.

If you have scroll buttons on your ball mouse I would think that you could
do the same thing. A wheel just scrolls.

You can get three choices by right-clicking the Desktop > View >
Classic/Medium/Large. Classic is XP size. With a mousewheel you get many
more size options.

SS--

Have you noticed this on Vista? I like my icons medium sized and sometimes
they will revert to small size, and to get them back I have to right
click>view>large>medium. They don't stay that way forever and I have to
repeat that.

No, that doesn't happen to me. I keep them set at medium as well, and they
always stay as that.

Right mouse click anywhere on your desktop and move cursor to view. Select
Classic as this seems to be synonymous with small in Vista. Hope this helps.
