Small icons on the desktop

I installed Vista the other day and the size of the icons on my desktop is
really annoying me.
Is there a way to make them the same size as as the desktop icons in XP?

I have already gone into Display Properties and made them as small as it
allowed me to do, but they're still huge.
My resolution is 1680x1050 which is as high as my monitor will go.

That would be for a 20 or 22" widescreen monitor?

Not seeing that here, and icon size is listed as 32 under...
Control Panel|PERSONALIZE|WINDOWS COLOR & APPEARANCE
"Open classic appearance properties..." link
ADVANCED button|ICON

Click on the desktop, hold the CTRL key down, and then use the scroll button
on your mouse of keyboard if it has one..

Or... right click on your desktop, select "View" and then your choice "Large
Icons", "Medium Icons", or "Classic Icons" (in your case you want classic)
