Hi,
I have recently changed my mainboard and cpu and ram and win vista couldnt
boot up (shows a blue screen of death) any way I can avoid reinstalling
windows (can I repair it, uninstall old drivers, or ...)?

Leon

Try the Startup Repair.

Boot from the instalation disk.
Let the disk load the files.
On the next screen, click Install.
On the next screen, select the language and keyboard layout.
Finally, on the next screen, look in the lower left corner and click the
Repair options.

On the following screen, select the Startup Repair option. This will take a
few minutes to complete and will give a report when it is finished.

Sorry Leon, I misread your request. You should hit f8 during startup and
choose not to restart option. This will leave you at the bsod screen with
the exact codes to try to figure out the problem. Before doing that, you
may want to choose safe mode from the f8 screen and if you can get into safe
mode, you will know you have a driver problem most likely.
