Any others tools to view Event Logs?

Are there any recommeded tools I can use to view the Event Logs. I
would like to group together all the events of one type and see how
often they occur?

BTW --- can I get a permanent popup messag when I get a serious error
(marked with a red cross in the Event Logs)? I often don't know they
have happened until I browse the Event Log

you can sort events by clicking on the header of the the column you want to
check...
