Any hope for my old Outlook files?

After much agony, XP is loaded, but it pretty much wiped
my hard drive clean. I had all my documents/photos backed
up, but I never backed up Outlook and the thousands of
emails I had saved. Is there any hope? I think there are
two partitions on my computer, but I really don't know
what that means and whether my old outlook files might be
retrievable. Any thoughts?

Did you do an upgrade install or a clean install (hard drive format)?

Ok. The site you referenced was helpful, but it didn't
quite get me all the way. When I tried to import my old
Outlook files, it only seemed to recognize my inbox,
outbox, and sent items, but none of my many personal
folders (these are the messages I'd really like to have
back!). Any advice for this problem?
