Any freeware to 'ping' blog directories?

Ive recently started blogging and was wondering if there was any
freeware that would ping blog directories every time I update.

what you are looking for?

(Not that up on blogging myself, so sorry if I've got the wrong end

If you used the great blogging software Wordpress (www.wordpress.com,
www.wordpress.org) you'd have a built in pinging program.

Use pingomatic anytime you want to tell the world you've updated.
