Any feedback from Microsoft ?

I am not sure I really got the interest of such a forum :
a lot of people report problems they encountered with a
Beta program and that's all : no reply from MS...

I am certainly a bit naive, but I thought all the
interest of a beta test was for the developper to get
reactions and report from users in order to correct and
enhance the application.

Here we are just missing Microsoft's voice.

The problem occurs because so many do respond, and of
those responders very few give actual detailed information
that can be used. Most people simply have no idea how to
configure the tool or where to find the options, and are
afraid of clicking their way around to discover these
things. So it isn't really a problem with the tool but a
problem with people not reading or using the resources
found within the tool, like "quick help". So the majority
of problems aren't really bugs but lack of computer
experiance. The complaints of things that the MSAS miss,
are a good example. If you do the reading, when
installing, you will notice the opportunity to submit
missed spyware\adware\malware. If you then choose not to
participate, then you really can't complain about missed
spyware. The fact is, that there is so much of it around
the net these days, that it takes a great deal of time to
add all of the definitions, to the program, so it is
evolving, and over time, and with the communities
contributions, the tool will become more and more diverse
and effective. I can only hope that MS sees fit to give
this tool away for free, or to include it in future SP's,
as it's been a contribution of the entire world that has
helped to develop and perfect this program. TTFN.

Even others that work for MS as well are here (like
myself). There just happens to be a group that uses the
data collected and passes it on to create updates. That
part of what beta testing is all about.
