Any dedicated freeware text sorting utility for Windows? (besides Sorter from Aldra)

There are a bunch of them for dos...rpsort, the ported gnu sort utility,
etc.
Some Widnows text editors, like Notetab lite, can sort, too, as an
auxiliary function.
But I can't find a Windows freeware solely dedicated to text sorting,
except Sorter 1.0 from Aldra. But Sorter barfs on my win98 system.

Any other?

If "Sort N Slice" comes to your mind, well, it's shareware. And
shareware is only the last recourse.

It's very good BUT it does not accept files with a very large
number of items in. Might be something like 32k IIRC. A real
pity. Would be excellent without that limitation.

BTW
This is the homepage for anyone's info:
SlimList 1.0 401kb

And you might want to watch the cross posts, also.

Thanks :)
