I have 2 quick general questions: what FREE antivirus programs run
on vista and what are their compatibility with 32 and 64 bit versions.
The same goes for antispasmodic, i mean antispyware tools like spybot?

Avast is free and compatible with Vista. SpywareBlaster works as well and is
free.

AVG and NOD32 both work fine in all versions of Vista.

I run AVG under Vista and it intergrates just fine...no issues.
As far as Spyware, I'm just using Defender at the moment but I'll
probably install Spybot and use that once a month just as second eye
so to speak.
