antivirus question

Hi,

How would you put an antivirus software (free AVG) onto a disk (with updates) so that you
could install it (with updates)on another computer. I want to be able to install and run
it on another pc without having to go online.

Thanks,

Have you looked on the www.grisoft.com website for this information? You
are certainly free to download the latest version of AVG Anti-Virus Free
Edition and burn it to CD at your convenience.

I did it when I bought a new computer.
Transferred and installed with no bother.

Copy, move or write it to external media after downloading the application
(and key) on PC (1) and bring it to PC (2).

What I was getting at was could I include the updates on the disk, but I think it just
came to me that I can copy the folder with the updates in it to the disk and then instead
of choosing to go onto the internet to update, I can update from folder. Thanks all,

Download the updates from their web page..

Write that to external media and transport as needed.

If PC2 doesn't go on the internet does it need AV?

Can't everything be checked in PC1 first?

Someone is bringing a computer to me to fix. I wanted to use AVG to check for viruses but
didn't want to go online to do so, in case that could be adverse results if I do.
