AntiTrojan Software

I've just found the Freshbind Trojan with spybot. Adaware missed it and AVG, ZoneAlarm and PestPatrol did not catch it on the way in.
Should I be running an AntiTrojan app along with AVG and ZoneAlarm? If so what do people think is the best freeware one to use.

TIA

Why mention ZA?

Spybot Search and Destroy, Spyware Blaster
and CWShredder

Good question... makes absolutely no sense. This seems to be quite an
oldie, btw. Ever considered the thought that it could be a "false
positive"?

You could download (registration necessary) A2 (A-Squared) from:
http://www.emsisoft.com

There also is another one: EMCO Malware Boucer, downloadable from
Download.com, or the home page at:
http://www.emco.is/malwarebouncer/features.html

I'm not sure about this one. I've heard both good and bad things about
it.

Bad- http://www.spywarewarrior.com/rogue_anti-spyware.htm

It says "prone to false positives; poor scan reporting [A: 12-23-04 / U:
12-23-04]"

I don't think there's much out there that is freeware, but running an
online scan is better than nothing. Available at my web page:
http://www.manitoulinislandindex.com/security.html
It's helped out two of my neighbors in the last month,

Hi Aaron,

Agree with the remarks you make about EMCO, they do have a habit of
labeling quite innocent files as dangerous (wanna have an "infection"
of buffy? Make an empty winstart.bat and scan with EMCO... Done). At
the moment I am discussing with them a very strange report that I had a
few days back...

But... I also have problems with EWIDO: I use (for support on remote
systems) a bought package... and every time I tried EWIDO it wanted to
remove the package, in the beginning there wasn't even a "skip" option;
I like A2 very much, since it labels appropriate and givesadise on what
to do (in the case of the remote support program it say that it is
"risk-ware", to which I can agree, I do see where it *could* be
abused...

Regards
Dick
