Could someone tell me why I can't use this Microsoft
application? It seems to work with everything but Widows
ME addition. Is there an antispyware from Microsoft that
will work with ME????? I'm beseiged with pop-ups and don't
know what to do other than buy software. But don't want to
if I can get it from Microsoft. Thanks for any response.

NO as stated several times here and on MSFTs site this is
only for XP and 2003 and 2000 Not ME, Not 98, Not 95,
Not 3.11 Not Dos, etc......
Upgrade to XP if you want MSFT antispyware protection

It doesn't work with versions of windows before Windows 2000, I'm afraid.

However, there are a couple of other reputable and inexpensive or free tools
that you can use--see this Microsoft reference:

If you want a popup stopper, go to Google, look for popup
stopper there. There are many free ones.
