AntiSpy and Defrag HD

Got the following message when I defragged my HD. FAT32 Drive

Fragments File Size Files that cannot be defragmented
10 1 MB \Program Files\Microsoft
AntiSpyware\gcThreatAuditThreatData.gcd
36 750 KB \Program Files\Microsoft
AntiSpyware\gcDeterminationData.gcd
65 3 MB \Program Files\Microsoft
AntiSpyware\gcThreatAuditScanData.gcd
31 716 KB \Program Files\Microsoft
AntiSpyware\ERRORS.LOG

I assume that these files are part of my backup files from another hard
drive or is the gcd referring to something else?

Anyway, it didn't defragment these files and defragment kept going back
repeatedly trying to delaying the defragmenting process by several hours.

You can delete the errors.log file without any problems.

The other files are needed--.gcd is a proprietary extension used by beta1
Microsoft Antispyware.

I haven't seen this issue--you might try shutting down Microsoft Antispyware
before running the defrag.

Hello Quacker,

go to the systray and rightclick on MSAS and then click exit.
Then run the defrag!
When ready put MSAS on again.

Great suggestions Tom, Bill and Engel. I'll try these in the future. 10
hours for a disk defrag that was endlessly looping was quite disturbing. :)
